Rackspace Managed hosting provider has declared a ramped up collection of products attributing improved functionality and support with Amazon Web Services. Rackspace will provide operational support, expertise, tools and application management to consumers on AWS Cloud. Rackspace is now also authorized reseller for Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Data Centers: U.S. cities like Dallas and Chicago but also in London, Hong Kong and Sydney.
Rackspace new strategy of delivering support for platforms and technologies reflects in its core offering, Fanatical Support for AWS, along with three supplementary beta offerings Managed Cloud for Adobe Experience Manager (which runs on AWS), Compliance Assistance for AWS and Managed Security for AWS. Fanatical Support for AWS offers businesses with managed cloud services, tools, and applications that permit customers to focus on their main business. Rackspace blends technology, automation, and human expertise to deliver ongoing management, architecture, 24 by 7and 365 days a year operations and security services is supported by AWS-certified architects and engineers.
Rackspace is Offering Two Versions of Fanatical Support for AWS. With fully managed service Aviator Fanatical Support will provide customers with full control of the cloud along with Navigator. Aviator provides complete control of user’s AWS environment to Rackspace. Full version of fanatical Support for AWS is only for US audiences; however customers from other AWS regions with segregation of China and AWS GovCloud would as well be able to benefit from beta version of this service. Navigator is principally for customers that would like to maintain operational control completely, although at the same time would like to take the benefits of Rackspace services and tools.
CEO Taylor Rhodes has written about the announcement on company’s blog page. “Over the past year, more and more of them [customers] have told us that they love Rackspace expertise and Fanatical Support, and would like to get it for the workloads that they prefer to run on AWS,” he said. “We have spent the past several months working with those customers and with AWS, to create the best managed-service offering on that platform.”
Tom Bressie, Director of product marketing for Rackspace, explained the deal a little more: “Customers who are using Fanatical Support for AWS do not pay AWS directly for their usage. For both Navigator and Aviator service levels, customers are billed by Rackspace for both their AWS usage and their Fanatical Support for AWS as well.”
Rackspace will make available deployment and on boarding consultation to deliver a personalized resolution as well as administer users’ environment on constant basis to assist in identifying and take action to security threats. Rackspace proficiency in deterrence and detection can decrease the probable force of an attack, while minimizing total cost of ownership (TCO) over in-house developed security operations centers and equivalent managed service contribution.

Rackspace Compliance Assistance is a blend of expertise and tooling to help consumers maintain and achieve reporting goals and compliance for their environment.
